Alfred Francis Olsen of Walden, NY, a Retired IBM Employee and local Farmer and a lifetime  resident of the area passed away  Wednesday, November 4, 2015,in Walden at his home peacefully with his family by his side.   He was 79.

The son of the late John Henry Olsen and Margaret Peteaux Olsen, he was born January 23, 1936 in Newburgh.

Alfred was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.

He was a member of the Grand Jurors Association of Orange County, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and the NRA.

He was an avid sportsman. And proprietor of the Browns Road and 17k Vegetable/ flower stand that he ran for many years.  

Survivors include his

 Brother, John Olsen, SR of Walden

Nephew John Olsen Jr. and his wife MaryBeth of Walden and their son, Mark Olsen of Walden

Niece, Linda Teets of Davenport, FL and her son Guy Teets of Great Lakes, Wisconsin

He was predeceased by his sister Dorothea Olsen

 The family would like to thank Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be Sunday 5-8 Pm on at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY.

Funeral Services will be Monday, November 9, 2015,  at 10 am at the Funeral Home.

Rev. Edmond Desueza will officiate.
