Ann Jenks Thurston, 68, Montgomery, NY passed away late in the evening of December 29th, 2016. Ann was a loving mother born to Harold Griswold and Helen Jenks. She died at home surrounded by her two good friends Cheryl and Frank Shaskan.

 She is survived by her three sons Jason (Sabina) Boulder, CO, Frederick (Sabine) Livonia, MI, and Jeremy (Tori) Saranac Lake, NY; a brother David (Arlene) Griswold, Longwood, FL; and five grandchildren Kiera, Sara, Katya, Hazel and Bali; a nephew Mark-Joseph Griswold.  

She was a mom who fought hard for her young children to help them be their best.  Her focus on teaching her own children is the reason she went back to school to become a special education teacher where she was able to help many special needs children.  She enjoyed visiting her friends as well as actively attending support meetings for AA to help others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
