Dorothy lost her long and hard fought battle with cancer on Jan. 19, 2018.  She passed peacefully at home. 

She was born Jan. 16, 1948 to Helen and Richard Boyle in Yonkers, NY.

Dorothy was the food service manager at Kennedy Catholic High School for over 26 years, where she forged lifelong friendships.  Her last 5 years were at Burke Catholic High School.  She was adored by students, faculty and staff.

Dorothy loved helping others. She was an associate of the Sisters of the Divine Compassion and volunteered at the Mustard Seed Migrant Ministry in Goshen since it's inception, and continued for 25 years.  Dot was also a member of their Sunday Prayer Group which she loved.  Dot was an amazing cook and baker, which she enjoyed doing for family and friends.  Entertaining was one of her greatest joys, she would always sing and dance.  Dot loved her oldies, especially the girl groups of the 60's.
She will be sadly missed by all whose life she touched.
Her family would like to thank all that offered their love and support to Dot through her most difficult time. Special thanks for the wonderful support from the faculty and cafeteria at John S. Burke Catholic and Kennedy Catholic longtime friends.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Bryan; daughter  April Creitz and her husband Mike; her two beloved grandchildren, Taylor O'Brien and husband Jason, and Zachary Creitz all of Myrtle Beach, SC; one sister   Kathleen Boyle; brothers    Garrett Boyle, Robert and Paul Hohn; sister-in-law     Elizabeth Pilchowski and her husband Marcin; step mother-in-law Odilia Hylwa
many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews

She was predeceased by her son  Bryan Jr.; brothers  Richard Boyle Jr., Allen Boyle who was killed at the Pentagon on 9/11 and sister Victoria Duffield.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St.Walden, NY.

A funeral mass will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018, 11:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, , Washingtonville, NY.
