Dr. Herbert Michael Garcia of Walden, NY, a Physician at Dolson Ave. Medical, Middletown and  a resident of the area passed away  Monday, June 26, 2017, in NYC.  He was 77. 

The son of the late Herberto Garcia and Marina De Los Santos Garcia, he was born September 30, 1939 in the Bronx.

Herbert had a love for nature and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved animals of all kinds, skiing, hiking, free diving in the ocean, and Alaska. He enjoyed classical music, poetry, and playing the piano, as well as participating in Ballroom Dance Competitions. He was a member of the Audubon Society, Sierra Club, the Walden Sportsmen Club and the NRA. Dr. Garcia worked many years at Beth Israel Hospital, NYC in the field of Nuclear Medicine.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 6-9pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY 12586. A time of rememberance will take place at 7:30pm.

Burial will be 11 am Friday June 30, 2017 in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, NY.
