Edward C. Byrne of Gardiner, NY, a retired Corrections Officer for NYSDOC, Wallkill, and a lifelong resident of the area passed away peacefully at home on Thursday August 4, 2016, in Gardiner.  He was 77. 

The son of the late Edward & Margaret Byrne, he was born November 23, 1938 in New York City.

He was a member of  St. Charles Borromeo Church, where he was the Financial Chairman.

Survivors include his
Wife of 56 years, Anne  at Home 
Son,          Edward Byrne and his wife Caroline of Wallkill, NY
Son,          Charles Byrne and his wife Josephine of Marlboro
and four grandsons: John, Josiah, Gabriel and Jacob
He was predeceased by His brother Robert

Visitation will be Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 2-5pm. at Wallkill Funeral Home, 12 Bonaventura Ave., Wallkill, NY 12589.

 Funeral Mass will Be Monday August 8, 2016 at 11:30 a.m.,  at St Charles Borromeo Church, Rt. 44-55, Gardiner, NY.

Burial will be in St Charles Cemetery in Gardiner, NY.
In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to the Helping Hands Pantry of St. Charles Borromeo Church, 2212 Route 44-55, Gardiner, NY 12525 or Hospice of Ulster County, 34 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401.
