Welcome to the memorial page for

Ethan Matthew Beck

September 18, 1990 ~ May 28, 2017 (age 26) 26 Years Old

Ethan Matthew Beck, 26, born September 18, 1990, departed this life on Sunday, May 28, 2017.  Ethan was a 2008 Ellenville HS graduate and attended Tompkins Cortland College.  Ethan thought of Brooklyn, NY as his hometown and loved the years he spent in Brooklyn living with his Aunt Mel, sister Max and “brother” Tyler.  Ethan entered this world fighting for his life and we knew he was special from that moment.  He was kind and loving with the biggest heart and most contagious smile.  And no matter what he was going through in his own life, he was willing to give anyone the shirt off his back. Ethan was a true salesman and was passionate about selling cars at Grieco Ford in Delray Beach, Florida.  His hobbies included fishing, watching the Giants, hanging out at the beach, working out, dancing, creating music and being with his many friends and family.  Ethan fought hard the last few years battling his addiction and had been doing well in his recovery.  He helped countless people with their struggle with addiction and will be missed greatly in the recovery community.  If there is someone in your life battling with addiction or mental health issues, please provide them with the love and support they need. So many lives are senselessly lost every day, and many suffer in silence due to the stigma associated with these diseases.  In our time of grief, we find solace knowing Ethan's struggle has ended and he finally is at peace.

Survivors include his loving parents Michael and Laura Beck of Pine Bush, NY, Ronda and MJ Wilder of South Portland, ME; sisters Emily Beck and Max Wilder; brothers James and Coby Wilder; grandparents Joan and Ken Beck of Ellenville, NY and John Klein of Wurtsboro, NY, Linda Wilkinson of The Villages, FL and Gail (Mike) Halcomb of New Windsor, NY; aunts Melissa (Aaron) Mitchum, Keri Hudzik, Helen (Scott) Wilhelm, Maureen (Danny) Harris, Veronica (Tom) Trommer, and Elizabeth Byrne and uncles Mark (Wendy) Beck, Mark (Lori) Klein and Edward (Sherry) Byrne. He also leaves to mourn cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Ethan was predeceased by his grandmothers Karen Klein and Bernadette Byrne.  A memorial gathering will be held on Friday June 2, 2017 at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank Street Walden, NY from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm.
