George R. Row of Wallkill, NY, a retired Kiln tender for Fair Rite in Wallkill and a resident of the area died Friday January 22, 2016, in Fishkill. He was 73.

The son of the late George Row and Catherine Grandstaff Row, he was born December 01, 1942 in Hagerstown Maryland.

He served in the Air Force during Vietnam Era and he was very proud to be an American Veteran.

He was a life member of the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club, where he was a very active member, he helped with the "Junior .22 League", a tournament for the children. He was very supportive of the Wallkill & Modena Fire Departments. He was a member of the NRA. He was a past member of the Modena ambulance and Fire Co. George was a life member of NYS Rifle & Pistol Association and a member of the American Legion. George was a good devoted father to his son Todd and daughter Denise.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria at home; loving daughter, Denise Strauser & her husband Andrew of Hawley, PA; loving son, Todd at home; his grandson and fishing buddy Evan; sister Alice of Maryland and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters Barbara & Ann

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Wallkill Reformed Church, 45 Bridge St., Wallkill, NY.
