Georgia Mae Berube of Newburgh, NY, a retired Bus Driver for Orange County Limousine Service, and a longtime resident of the area passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017, in Newburgh.  She was 79.

The daughter of the late George and Marie (Tapley) Baxley, she was born September 14, 1937 in Orange Park, Florida.

She was a member of Howells Congregational Church, attended Tres Dias and was, for a time, active in the Kairos Outside Community. 

She was the widow of Jean-Charles Berube.

Survivors include her

Daughter, Jeanine Berube at home, Sons,Jon Berube of Circleville, NY, Jason Berube and his wife Tammy of Campbell Hall, NY

2 grandchildren: Jeanne & Justin

Brother, Glen Baxley of Middleburg, FL and Sister, Glenda Alred and her husband David of Doctors Inlet, FL

She was predeceased by her brother Gary (Ricky).

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017 from 7-9 PM at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

Visitation at the Howells Congregational Church, 41 Church St.,  Howells,NY. 10932, Saturday March 18, 2017 from 10-11am. Funeral services will follow at 11am. Pastor Steve Offringa will officiate.

Burial will be in Bloomingburg Cemetery in Bloomingburg, NY.
