Luis B. Estrada, Sr. of Montgomery, NY, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017, in his home in Montgomery surrounded by his loved ones.  He was 82.

The son of the late Pedro Estrada and Modesta Baca Estrada, he was born January 22, 1935 in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Luis served in the Air Force where he was awarded the soldiers medal. He was a retired electronics technician for IBM in Fishkill. He was a member of Holy Name of Mary Church in Montgomery and the Knights of Columbus.

During his younger years he played in a guitar trio where he used to serenade the women under their windows. Luis also played at Saint Mary’s during Sunday mass for many years along with his sons.

Luis loved his family and the time he spent with them.

Luis was an avid collector of coins and model cars. He was a connoisseur of fine wine.

He was the widower of Carmela A Estrada.

Survivors include his

Sons, Vincent Estrada & wife Tammie of New Jersey, Ralph Estrada & wife April of Florida, Luis B Estrada, Jr. & wife Debra of Montgomery, John Estrada of Montgomery;
Daughters, Susie Miller & her husband Mike of Florida, Florinda Estrada & companion Russ of Cortland, NY

21 Grandchildren
17 Great Grandchildren

His Siblings Pedro Estrada & wife Rose of El Paso, TX, Lawrence Lopez & wife Nadine of CA, Joe Lopez of CA, Margie Lopez & husband Marty of CA, Eugene Lopez of CA, Yolanda Lopez of CA, Anna Lopez & husband Russ, James Lopez & Life partner Woody of AL, Roman Lopez & wife Sally of El Paso, Juanita Lopez of El Paso

Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his

Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

A funeral mass will be Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 9:00 A.M. at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY.

Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery, NY.
