Margaret "Mickey" Mateus of Montgomery, NY, a retired LPN at Good Samaritan Hospital, and a longtime resident of the area passed away on  Monday, February 6, 2017, in West Milford Township.  She was 83. 

The daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Callagee Duffy, she was born January 19, 1934 in Cliffside Park, New Jersey.

She was the widow of Joseph A. Mateus.

Survivors include her
 Four Daughters:  Faith Valdez, Patti Sutera, Michelle (William) Chauvin, Margaret (Nicholas)Salleroli
11 Grandchildren: Scott, Michael, Mathew, Roger, Michelle, Adrienne, Courtney, Nicholas, Alexander,  William & Ashley
13 Great grandchildren: Michael, Logan, Isla, Liam, Zoey, Kayden, Charlotte, Jacob, Ryliegh, Nikko, Lorenzo, Alfonso & Joseph.
Great Great Grandchildren: Marina & Jionni
Sisters : Helen (Peter) Scarnaty
Many Nieces, Nephews, Special Friends and Family

She was predeceased by her sister, Eileen Taryla, Brother Joseph Duffy and Sons-in-law Gary Sutera and Roger Valdez

Visitation will be Thursday February 9, 2017 from 5 to 8 pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, February 10, 2017,  10 am at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY.
 
Interment will be in Orange County Veteran's Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
