With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Marion Caccamo of Pine Bush on October 1st, following an extended illness. She was 80 years old.

Marion is survived by her devoted husband, Carmine, as well as three children: Brenda Miller of Walden, Bonnie Gingras of Montgomery, and David Whitney of Westminster, CA. Marion lived for family, and took great pride in her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The daughter of George and Helen Freer, Marion was exceptionally close to her four siblings George and Bill Freer, Thelma Bondur, and Helen Schoch, as well as to her many nieces and nephews. She cherished gatherings with family and friends, be they celebrations of birthdays, graduations, or holidays. Marion’s immediate family members were the fortunate beneficiaries of her especially exuberant embrace of the Christmas holiday, which was marked each year by numerous parties and excessive gift giving.

Never one to complain, Marion radiated genuine warmth, universal acceptance, and remarkable agreeableness. Marion reveled in the simple joys of life; a quiet evening with her husband and a good mystery movie, camping vacations, beloved pets, and, later in life, senior bus trips all provided pleasant diversions. The many family and friends who loved her will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5-8pm. at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St.Walden, NY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 6, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY. Reverend James Van Houten will officiate.
