Michael P. Small of Montgomery, NY, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017, in Middletown.  He was 78. 

The son of the late Lawrence and Ruth Chaisson Small, he was born January 13, 1939 in Bangor, Maine.

Michael was a retired NYS Police BCI Investigator in Troop F, Newburgh, NY and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of Sportsmen Clubs in Warwarsing, Middletown, and Walden, where he enjoyed trap and skeet shooting with his beloved extended shooting family. He was also active in the NYS Police Benevolent Association and cherished his family of brothers and sisters in the NYS Police. 

Survivors include his daughters  Lori Weeden & husband Steve of Montgomery, Patti Crudele & husband Michael of Poughkeepsie, Michele Sharpe & husband Chris of Montgomery; grandson Michael Weeden & wife Leyla; granddaughter Emily Sharpe and faithful cat Mick

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by the love of his life Geri Small. 

Graveside services will be Friday, December 22, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Railroad Ave., Montgomery, NY 12549.
