Milton A. Wells, a 40 year resident of Walden NY, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, in Middletown, NY surrounded by his loving family. He was 77. 

The son of the late Milton Wells Sr. and Cora Mansfield Wells, he was born June 22, 1938 in Monticello, NY.

Milton married his high school sweetheart Sandra R. Hale and settled in Walden NY. He proudly served in the National Guard 1957 – 1964. He retired from Pocantico Hills School in Westchester NY.  During his 32 year career as a custodian/bus driver at Pocantico Hills School, he touched the lives of countless children he came in contact with. 

He was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. His energy and love was contagious. Everyone who knew Milton was forever changed by his love, he will be deeply missed. He was a remarkable role model to all his extended family. Milton was avid outdoors man who loved to hunt and fish. Milt taught his children and grandchildren to respect and appreciate nature, the outdoors and the simple things in life. 
 
Milt was predeceased by his wife Sandra R. Wells. He was survived his daughter Deborah Weidenbach and her husband Bryan of Lake City, SD, daughter Laura Lumbrazo of Middletown, NY, granddaughters Corrin and Cassie Lumbrazo.  Milton had an awesome sense of humor and loved to joke around.

The Wells family would like to thank Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. and the staff and Middletown Park Manor. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2-4 pm & 7-8 pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St. Montgomery, NY 12549.

Services will follow the visitation at 8pm on Sunday, April 10, 2016,  at the funeral home.  Rev. James VanHouten will officiate.

Burial will be private in Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, NY.
