Priscilla Taylor Cooper of Walden, NY, a retired reporter for the Kingston Freeman and a resident of the area, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at home in Walden. She was 98.

The daughter of the late Ralph Humphrey Taylor and Irene Driscoll Taylor, she was born April 03, 1917 in New York City.

Priscilla graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Magna Cum Laude. She worked as a dress model in NYC in the 1940's, and later became a homemaker to raise her five children. Later on in life Priscilla worked as a legal secretary at her husband's law firm and part-time as a reporter (stringer) for the Kingston Freeman.

Priscilla wrote an unpublished book, a line-by-line analysis of Hamlet. She also wrote several short stories and was a member of MENSA.

She was the widow of Michael J. Cooper.

Son, Douglas W. Cooper and his wife Tina of Walden, NY

Son, Nicholas B. Cooper and his wife Debbie of Albuquerque, NM

Son, Clifford T. Cooper of West Hills, CA

Son, Christopher B. Cooper and his wife Nicola of Lawrenceville, NJ

Daughter-in-law, Linda Cooper of Newtown, PA

six grandchildren: Brittany, Bradley, Matthew, and William Cooper and Philip and Theodore Chiang.

She was predeceased by

Her daughter, Diana Winslow Cooper, and sister Janet Taylor Newham. Graveside services will be Saturday November 14, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at Wallkill Valley Cemetery, 1011 State Rt. 52, Walden, NY.

Reverend James Van Houten will officiate.
