Richard Kuebler, 84, a longtime resident of Wallkill, NY, passed Friday, October 9, 2015, peacefully at home. He was born on January 6, 1931 in Akimowka, Ukraine, the son of the late Ferdinand and Olga (Albert) Kuebler.

Richard followed his sweetheart, Hanna, to the United States in January 1956 and they have been married for 58 years. They owned Kuebler’s Delicatessen in Ridgewood, NY for 5 years. He then moved his family upstate to Wallkill. For the next 22 years, he operated Dick’s Industrial Catering. He retired after working for Healthshield/CHP in Poughkeepsie, NY. Richard was a loving husband and father. His family meant everything to him. He enjoyed watching the Yankees play, and was a great Mr. Fix-It. He could always make everyone smile with his joke telling. We will all miss him. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walden, the Senior Citizen Group of Wallkill, the United Travelers, the Nordholz Soccer Club in Germany and was a past member of the Elks Club.

Survivors include his wife Hanna at home, daughters Clara Haecker and her husband Walter of Modena, NY, Linda Curiale and her husband Peter of Newburgh, NY and Heidi Kras and her husband William of Wallkill, NY; eight grandchildren Walter, Erick, Scott Haecker, Christina (Lance) Weeden and Alexandra Curiale (Justin Vernooy), Billy, Max and Peter Kras; four great grandchildren Everett Sisk, Emmy Vernooy, Nevaeh and William Weeden; and sister Olga Niehaus of Germany

Visitation will be Monday, October 12, 2015 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 13, 2015, 10:30 am at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2520 State Rt. 208, Walden, NY. Pastor Raymond Cummings along with Pastor Ryan Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Bruynswick Rural Cemetery in Wallkill, NY.
