Rose Erikson of Montgomery, NY, a lifetime resident of the area passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016, in Goshen. She was 85.
The daughter of the late Dwight and Bessie McBrier Ingersoll, she was born April 28, 1931 in the Town of Hamptonburgh New York.
She was a member of the Brick Reformed Church, where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of The Montgomery Grange, Dutch Youth Organization. She volunteered in the Montgomery Food Pantry and was a 4-H leader. Rose also worked for Sears in Middletown and as a waitress in Howard's luncheonette in Montgomery.
She was the widow of Glenn L. Erikson.

Daughter, Karan L Vanderley and her husband Sid of Montgomery, NY
six grandchildren: Joseph Palenik, Catherine Bram, Russell G. Erikson, Sarah Erikson, Meghan Erikson and Nicholas Vanderley
7 Greatgrandchildren: Harley, Tristin, Sydney, Owen, Michael, Aiden & Branden
Step Brother, Bruce Spears and his wife Sandy of Houck, AZ
Many nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by her Daughter Cindy Erikson and Sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Hansen
Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Overshiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St, Montgomery, NY 12549.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 17, 2016, 11 am at Brick Reformed Church, 1582 Rt 17k, Montgomery, NY.
Rev. Brian Randazzo and Rev Sid Vanderley will officiate.
Burial will be in Brick Church Cemetery in Montgomery, NY.
