Thomas H. DePew, a long time resident of the area, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at home with his family at his side. He was 78.

Tom was the son of the late Cortland Joseph and Edna Myers Depew.  He filled many roles in life as a beloved husband, father and brother.  Tom was a retired physical therapist assistant for the Middletown Psychiatric Center.

He was a 58 year member of the Walden United Methodist Church, a former member of the Howells Volunteer Fire department and a member of the Men’s Golf league at the Scott’s Corners Golf Course. 

Survivors include his wife, Jane,  at home, son Thomas Alton DePew and his wife Lisa Bryant DePew of Fredericksburg VA, daughter Sandra DePew Taylor of Fort Byron NY, daughter Becky DePew Collins of the Town of Newburgh NY, grandchildren: Ian Taylor, Brendan Gibbons, Taylor DePew, Colton DePew, Madison Collins, Caleb Collins
brothers: Joseph Depew, Louis Depew and his wife Sharon, Robert Depew and his wife Nancy, and his sister Catherine Mitton and her husband Rodney.

He was predeceased by his brother Ray and wife Evelyn Depew, brother James and wife Eleanor Depew, sister Bertha and husband Louis Green, and sister-in-law Ruth Depew.

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017 from 3-7pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden NY 12586.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.  Pastor Matthew Querns will officiate.
