William H. Benedict Jr. of Wallkill, NY, a retired dairy farmer and Parts Clerk for Spence Engineering, Walden and a lifetime resident of the area passed away on Tuesday October 18, 2016, in New Paltz. He was 89.

The son of the late William Benedict, Sr and Ruamy Terwilliger Benedict, he was born June 03, 1927 in Walden, New York.

He was a lifetime member of the Walden Baptist Church and a member of the Montgomery Grange No. 916.

He was the widower of Joan L. Benedict.

Survivors include his daughter, Lorinda Benedict of Walden, NY, daughter, Karen Lee and her husband Casey of Wallkill, son, Bruce Benedict and his wife Lori of Briarcliff Manor, son, Timothy Benedict and his wife Barbara of Walden, 8 Grandchildren, 3 Great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

He was predeceased by his wife, Joan and his son, Lawrence

Visitation will be Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. at the Millspaugh Funeral Home,, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday October 24, 2016 , 11:00 A.M. at Walden Baptist Church, Bank St., Walden, NY. Reverend James Van Houten will officiate.

Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden, NY.
