William J. Fox of Montgomery, NY, entered into rest on November 2, 2015.  He was 95 years old. 

The son of William Fox and Florence Klein Fox, he was born on Staten Island, NY on September 23, 1920.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Florence Berry Fox, two daughters, Jane Devine of Port St. Lucie, FL and Marjorie Fox of Scotchtown, NY, seven grandchildren: Michael Devine of Las Vegas NV, Stephen Devine of San Francisco, CA, Katherine Devine-Miller of Port St. Lucie, FL, Matthew Freehill of Mahopac, NY Timothy Freehill of Middletown, NY, Kevin Freehill of Clermont, FL, and Megan Freehill of Scotchtown, NY, Seven Great-grandchildren, one brother and sister in law, Royal E. and Gertrude Fox of Staten Island, NY along with numerous cousins and nieces and nephews.
He was a World War II Veteran, enlisting in the United States Navy in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He served on the USS Vicksburg in the Pacific Campaign. He was an active member of VFW, American Legion and the Elks Lodge. As an avid reader, he served on the board of directors for the Montgomery Library.
He was retired from the United States, New York State, and Orange County Government agencies.
