William E. Schnakenberg of Campbell Hall, NY, a retired Administrative Lieutenant for Orangeburgh Police Department, and a longtime resident of the area passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday November 20, 2017, in Newburgh.  He was 79. 

The son of the late William Schnakenberg and Kathleen Hagen  Schnakenberg, he was born December 05, 1937 in Nyack, NY.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was the widower of SallyAnn Candela Schnakenberg.

Daughter,     Elizabeth "Elissa" Valk and her husband Ken of Walden, NY
Daughter,   Theresa "Terri" Cerchio and her husband Anthony of Newburgh
Son,   Robert Schnakenberg and his wife Michelle of the State of Florida
Son, William Schnakenberg and his wife Kathie of the state of Florida
10 Grandchildren
Sister, Kathleen Schnakenberg
Brother, Kenneth Schnakenberg and his wife, Jen
Several Nieces and nephews

He was predeceased by his brother, Daniel
Memorial Visitation will be 10- Noon on Saturday December 2, 2017  at  Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St.Walden, NY. Service to follow at noon in the funeral home, Rev. James Van Houten will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the St. Judes Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1947.
