Robert J. Leibmann of Orange Lake, NY, a retired painter, and a 32 year resident of the area died Tuesday, October 4, 2011, in Newburgh.  He was 78.
He left this world peacefully, surrounded by his family having lived a long and happy life.  He took great joy in a simple walk in the woods, the chance to put his feet in the lake he loved, or a laugh with his grandchildren. He was a faithful husband, as well as a kind, honorable, forgiving, and loving man.  He was truly the father everyone wished they had.  We will miss him, and he will be carried in our hearts every day until we meet him again.
The son of the late Francis and Florence Martin Leibmann, he was born February 22, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY.
He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church, as well as the Orange Lake Association. He was the husband of Maureen J. Leibmann.
Survivors include his wife, Maureen J. Leibmann at home,
Daughter, Ellen Leibmann-Cohan of Pittsfield, MA
Son, Robert Francis Leibmann and wife Mary of Scottsdale, AZ
Daughter, Maureen C. Eltzholtz and husband Edward of Ridgewood, NJ
7 grandchildren – Hannah Lei, Abbie, Grace, Kayleen, Gabrielle, James (RJ), and Erin.
Brother, Frank Leibmann of Florida, Sister, Anne Maureen Beilaus of PA
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank Street, Walden, NY.

A funeral mass will be Saturday, October 8, 2011, 11:00am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Orange Lake.  Monsignor John Budwick will officiate.
