Arthur Bloomer of Walden, NY, a resident of the area passed away  Tuesday, July 18, 2017, in Walden. He was 67. 

The son of the late Joseph Bloomer and Genevieve Smith Bloomer, he was born December 30, 1949 in Cornwall, NY.

He was an Army Vietnam Veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. After retiring from serving in the military for 20 years he worked at USMA West Point for 20 years. He also drove a school bus for Valley Central Schools until 2002. He was a member of the New York State VFW and was an avid outdoorsman, loving fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed metal detecting with his friends George and Richard. 

Survivors include his Wife,  Lynn Bloomer of Walden, NY; Daughters  Christy Schoonmaker and her husband Doug of Conway, SC,  Amy Noble and her significant other John of Newburgh, NY; Son, Joseph Bloomer and his wife Noreen of Washingtonville, NY
Grandchildren, Jordan Donley and her husband Eric,Dylan and Hunter Schoonmaker, Madalyn and Olivia Noble,Michael and Owen Martinez
Great Grandsons Owen and Eamon 

Visitation will be Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5-8pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY 12586.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at the funeral home. Rev. Brian Randazzo will officiate. 

Burial will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY.
