Dale Mary Thompson

Dale Mary Thompson of Wallkill, NY, a resident of the area, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019, in Highland. She was 74. 

The daughter of the late Thelma Chrisman Anderson, she was born February 23, 1945 in Georgia.

Dale had graduate degrees from Syracuse University and American University. She worked as a social worker in New York City for many years. Later she worked in the real estate field as a project manager for Gemcraft Homes in Rising Sun, MD where she lived before moving to Wallkill. As a child, Dale enjoyed summers in Wallkill with her cousins, especially trips to Wanaksink Lake.

Survivors include her cousin Chris McHugh & wife Marilyn and her lifelong friends, Amy, Florence, and Sandy.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family following cremation.

Because of her lifelong love for animals, especially dogs, donations can be made in her name to the Walden Humane Society, 2489 Albany Post Rd., Walden, NY 12586.

She was predeceased by her mother, Thelma Chrisman Anderson.
