Edward Stickney Obituary

Edward G. Stickney of Walden and Sundown NY, a lifelong resident of the area died peacefully on Tuesday August 6, 2019, in Goshen, N.Y., he was 84. 

The son of the late George Edward and  Marion Elizabeth Stickney, also predeceased by sister Joan Mary Seymour and niece Georgie-ann Rys. He was born September 25, 1934 in Goshen, N.Y.

He served proudly for our Country in the United States Navy, a veteran in the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoying nature at the family cabin in Sundown, N.Y. He was a retired machinist from the pocketbook factory in Newburgh, N.Y.

Survivors include his niece Jane E. Porubek husband Joseph of Coldenham, N.Y., great nieces, April Lynn Baggatta partner John, children Jessica, Ricky and Tiffany Francis, Samantha Rys, children Mark and Alexis Barber, Jennifer Lane husband James, children James and Nicole of Mississippi, three great nephews Joseph Lofrese wife Deanna, children Juliet and Amelia, Terry LoFrese and wife Janika of  Florida, Christopher Bellia and wife Christa, children Mackenzie and Conner and several great great great nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
