Eleanor Marie Malcarne, a longtime area resident, died Aug. 2 at Arden Hill Hospital.  She was 81.

Daughter of the late William and Agnes Peafe Fillmore, she was born March 26, 1914 in Cromwell, Ct.  She was the widow of Joseph Malcarne.

Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl Hossann of Gardiner; three sisters, Bernice Sylvester of Wethersfield, Ct., Sally Canning of Wallingford, Ct. and Jackie Donahue of Cromwell, Ct.; one grandson; two granddaughters; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday at the Millspaugh Funeral Home, with Deacon John Frohbose officiating. Burial was in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
