Joan A. Gore of Montgomery, NY, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018, in St. Anthony's Hosptial in Warwick, New York. She was 82.
The daughter of the late Robert Henry and Lucy Goughran Butler, she was born September 17, 1936 in the Bronx.
Joan worked as an account clerk for Orange County Fire Training Center in New Hampton before retiring in 2002.
Joan was an amazing artist and active in many of the local art leagues. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting,sewing cooking and going to the beach. She was lucky enough to have gone to the beach multiple times during the past summer with her daughter Annemary. She was a strong woman who fought her illness with grace and focusing on the positive days she had.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Judy Gore, sisters Anne T. Nealon, Catherine S. Butler, Ellen D. Butler and brother Francis Butler.
A mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, October 27, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at St. Anastasia'a Church, 21 N. Main St., Harriman, NY 10926.
Fr. John Kyere will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman, NY.
