Julien Reichle

Julien Reichle of Walden, retired owner of Reichle Machine Company, and a lifetime area resident, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at home.
He was 97.  A soft-spoken, kind, beloved gentleman, he was admired and respected by all. In business, Julien helped everyone with an open heart; a true gentleman from a bygone era when a simple handshake was a contract. He was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Walden, a life member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and a 4-H leader for fifty years.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dorothy S. Reichle, his son James Reichle and wife Bernadette of Walden, daughters Juli LaMoy of Gardiner and Jana Berard and her husband Jerome of Manhattan, and grandchildren Jeffrey and Jonathan Reichle, Sarah and Hannah LaMoy and Julian Berard.
He is survived by his brother, Fred Reichle of Wallkill, and sister, Frances Roux of Middletown, and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sisters Katherine Knibbs, Olive Poradish and Trine Bennett.
Friends are invited to call from 5-8 pm on Friday, April 13, 2012  at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2012,  at the First Reformed Church, 70 Scofield St. in Walden. Reverends Robert Miller and James Van Houten will officiate.Burial will follow in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.
