Luis B. Estrada, Sr. of Montgomery, NY, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017, in his home in Montgomery surrounded by his loved ones.  He was 82.

The son of the late Pedro Estrada and Modesta Baca Estrada, he was born January 22, 1935 in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Luis served in the Air Force where he was awarded the soldiers medal. He was a retired electronics technician for IBM in Fishkill. He was a member of Holy Name of Mary Church in Montgomery and the Knights of Columbus.

During his younger years he played in a guitar trio where he used to serenade the women under their windows. Luis also played at Saint Mary’s during Sunday mass for many years along with his sons.

Luis loved his family and the time he spent with them.

Luis was an avid collector of coins and model cars. He was a connoisseur of fine wine.

He was the widower of Carmela A Estrada.

Daughters, Susie Miller & her husband Mike of Florida, Florinda Estrada & companion Russ of Cortland, NY

Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

A funeral mass will be Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 9:00 A.M. at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY.

Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery, NY.
