Timothy Joseph Ahearn

Timothy J. Ahearn entered into eternal rest on August 1, 2018 in Newburgh, NY. He was 72. 

A lifelong resident of Wallkill, Tim was born on July 31, 1946 in Newburgh, NY to the late Florence M. O’Keefe and William J. Ahearn. He graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Newburgh and The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. He then served in the U.S Air Force before attending the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor. He worked as a law clerk for two New York State Supreme Court Justices, and upon his retirement, practiced law locally for over 20 years.
Tim is survived by two daughters, Bridget Ahearn of Wallkill and Kathleen Fitzgerald (Michael) of Germantown, Maryland, as well as three granddaughters, Margaret, Caroline, and Elizabeth Fitzgerald. He is also survived by one sister, Virginia M. Carroll, and one niece, Anastasia Guenther.

Visitation will be Monday, August 6, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Wallkill Funeral Home, 12 Bonaventura Avenue, Wallkill, NY 12589. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11 AM at St. Benedict’s Chapel, 70 Wallkill Avenue, Wallkill, NY 12589. Burial will take place at St. Charles Cemetery in Gardiner, NY.
