Ada Cruz Obituary

Ada A.Cruz who lived most of her life in Highland, NY, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, in Poughkeepsie surrounded by her loving family. She was 68.

The daughter of Gregorio Cruz and Gladys Fernandez, she was born October 2, 1955 in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

Ada worked as a certified nurse’s aide at Wingate at Ulster, Highland, NY and also worked for Hospice. She was a friend and mother figure to many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughter Joedy Stevens and Stephen Puntar of Wallkill, NY. Daughter Rhonda Wichmann and Christopher Goodson of Poughkeepsie NY. Grandchildren Devin, Damien, Tymar, and Dehana.

Cremation and services will take place privately.
