Barbara G. Edwards

Barbara G. Edwards of Walden, NY, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, in Newburgh.  She was 76.

The daughter of the late Ike and Mary English, she was born September 5, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY.

Barbara worked as a nurses’ aid for Orange County Infirmary, Goshen, NY.

She was the widow of Harry D. Edwards Sr.

Survivors include her son Harry Edwards & Alecia, daughter Deanna Purdy, daughter Carlie Feeney & Darwin Michel; 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Nikki Palmatier and son-in-law Delancy Purdy Jr.

A funeral service will take place Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 10:30am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 19 Fullerton Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550.

Burial will follow at Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Walden Humane Society, 2489 Albany Post Road, Walden, NY 12586.
