Bonnie Lynn Abad of Walden, NY, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025 in Newburgh. She was 66.
The daughter of Diane M. (Davies) Cartwright and the late John A. Harper, she was born May 23, 1959 in Hackensack, NJ.
She was a devoted mother, daughter, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose life was guided by kindness, love, and compassion. She was deeply caring and always put her family first, offering unwavering support, warmth, and comfort to those around her. Her presence was a source of strength and love, and she will be remembered for the way she made others feel valued and cherished.
Bonnie worked as a night auditor for Red Roof Inn, Newburgh, NY.
She was a member of the Valley Central Education Foundation.
She is survived by her daughters Christina Martin (Cj), Jessica Martin, Kimberly Martin (Lauren), and son Victor Abad; her Grandchildren Kazmira, Azaria, Jonny, Zayden, Lazia, Skylar, Mazelia, River, Valentine, Valarie, Winter, Kokila, Denali, and great grandchild Oliver. She is also survived by her Mother Diane M. Cartwright, sister Helen Howell, sister Chris Ann O'Connor (Hugh), nieces, nephews and extended family.
Along with her father she was predeceased by her brother John Harper.
Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, January 3, 2026, 11am-1pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.
A service will follow at 1pm.
