Carl H. Balbach

Carl Balbach, 93 of Walden, NY was called home to be with  his Lord and Savior on Monday October 6, 2025.  He was at home with his wife of 68 years, Carol Boyce Balbach.  He passed peacefully in his sleep. 

Carl was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walden.  He will be remembered for his faith, love and devotion to his family. 

Carl was a truck driver but his passion was working on his dairy farm until 3 months before his passing.  He was the proud father of 2 sons Brett, whom he farmed with and Bruce who followed in his footsteps of driving big rigs.

Carl was born in New York City to Sophie Mecherlein and Karl Balbach in 1932. 
 
Carl is survived by his wife Carol, sons Brett (Vaughn) and Bruce (Lynn), Grandchildren Ryan Balbach(Christina) Jared Balbach (Ashley), Ariene Balbach, Kerri Balbach-Guiffredo (Kyle), Bruce Balbach, Brittany Balbach , David Serviss, Crystal Serviss,  Aaron Serviss and 13 Great Grandchildren. 
He was pre-deceased by his parents and his Uncle Leo. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday Oct 9th, 2025 from 7-9 PM at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday October 10th at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church Rt 208 in Walden.  Burial will be at The Wallkill Valley Cemetery on Rt 52 in Walden, NY. 

The family would like to thank his Caregiver and loyal friend Marie Ruggirello and Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County.
