Carl N. Gillespie

Carl N. Gillespie of Montgomery, a retired bus driver for Birnie Bus Company, Pine Bushand a lifelong resident of the area passed away suddenly on Tuesday December 29, 2020, in Montgomery.  He was 63.

The son of the late Frederick Gillespie and Margaret Watson Gillespie, he was born April 22, 1957 in Montgomery.

He was an owner and trainer of race horses, and was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association.

Survivors include his wife, Betsy Phillips Gillespie of Montgomery, NY; son, Shawn  Gillespie of Montgomery, NY, daughter, Erin  Gillespie and her Fiance Eric Hoens of Montgomery, NY; grandchildren, Ryder & Bradan; sister-in-law, Wanda Gillespie of Booneville, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Richard and sister, Jeanette. 

Funeral services will take places at a later date.
