Catherine Elizabeth (Byrnes) Bishopp

Catherine Elizabeth Bishopp of Montgomery, NY, a retired Bank Teller for Poughkeepsie Savings Bank, and a long time resident of the area passed away on Wednesday February 17, 2021, in Middletown.  She was 77.

The daughter of the late David Byrnes and Catherine O’Connor Byrnes, she was born August 4, 1943 in Brooklyn.

Survivors include her husband, Franklyn Bishopp, Sr. at home in Montgomery, NY; son, Franklyn Bishopp Jr. and his wife Catherine of Newburgh, daughter, Judith Cooney and her husband Michael of Montgomery, son, Brendan  Bishopp and his wife Amy of Newburgh; 8 Grandchildren: Brenna, Mariah, Matthew, Jillian, Erin-Rose, Shaina, Margaret and Collin; sister, Jerilyn Cacciola of Florida, brother, David Byrnes and his wife Deborah of Florida, brother Kevin Byrnes and his wife Diane of New Jersey. She is also survived by many Nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday February 24, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday February 25, 2021, 10:30 AM at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY. The service will also be livestreamed at https://holynameofmary-assumption.org/

Father Matthew Reiman will officiate.

Interment of Cremains will take place at a later date in Orange County Veteran’s Cemetery.
