Cynthia S. Young of Wallkill, NY, formally of Franklin, NY passed away unexpectedly when she heard Jesus Calling her home.
Cindy’s greatest love was Jesus and her family. Mom will be remembered by her daughters Debra (Allen) Bailey, of Wallkill, NY and Sharon Black of Liverpool, NY. She was a grandmother of six grandsons and their wives, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 grand puppies. Her greatest pride and pleasure were to tell her faithful friends (and even acquaintances) of her family.
Cindy’s love for her extended family, in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews was evident by the number of family members she was in contact with. She was always “just checking in” to see how they were doing.
Mom’s circle of friends was a great source of their love and encouragement, whether in person, text, phone calls, emails or a card in the mail. Those who knew her would often be surprised by what she called “just because” gifts. Most often it was something she crocheted or a reminder of God’s faithfulness; a note card, Bible verse or a sentiment she thought they might need.
But mom’s influence did not end with her family & friends. She was a teacher’s assistant for the Franklin, NY school district. She taught many students to read and tie their shoes. Again, she kept in contact with her students throughout the years. Her co-workers became her friends for life.
Mom’s Celebration of Life will be May 3, 2025, at Aldrich Baptist Church, Franklin, NY, at 11:00am.
