Daniel William Nicholas Griffin

Daniel William Nicholas Griffin of Montgomery, NY, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024 in Montgomery. He was 55.

The son of the late Daniel Nicholas and Edith Ann (Penteck) Griffin, he was born July 12, 1969 in Bronx, NY.

Daniel loved the outdoors, especially taking casual walks, hiking and kayaking. He also enjoyed lounging and had a love of reading. During his high school days he was a talented runner, winning State Championships in the sport.

He loved his two daughters immensely and especially enjoyed building Legos with Laura and taking drives with Hannah. Daniel was a foodie, and on family trips they would be sure to scout out any Pizza Parlors they could find to try the local pizza.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife Chris, daughter Hannah Griffin, daughter Laura Griffin, beloved dog Cooper, sister Joanne Griffin & her husband Rob, sister Denise Becker & her husband Butch, nieces and nephews Michael (Courtney) and their son Ryan, Christopher, Kerri-Ann, Haleigh, Samantha, Kathleen, Katie May, sister-in-law Kathy & Scott, mother-in-law and father-In-Law Jerry and BettyAnn O’Rourke and extended family and his close friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 10:00am at Most Precious Blood Church, 42 Walnut Street, Walden, NY 12586.

Burial will be held privately at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
