Don was born in Readsboro, Vermont on September 15, 1942, to the late Enrico Maselli and the late Julia (Eccher) Maselli. He was raised in Vermont and in Pittsfield, Massachusetts; after graduating from Pittsfield High School in 1960, he began his 34-year career with Sears, Roebuck and Company. In 2002 Don was instrumental in restoring a chapel on the site of the Cabrini Home’s sacred spring. Don spent years as an ASA and NCAA softball umpire, and spent many happy hours shooting sporting clays with friends at the Wallkill Rod and Gun Club.
