Donald "Donnie" Schoonmaker

Donald "Donnie" C. Schoonmaker of Montgomery, NY, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025 in Middletown. He was 68.

The son of the late Donald S. Schoonmaker and Eva (Atkins) Schoonmaker, he was born January 2, 1957 in Middletown, NY.

Donnie owned and operated his own sheet rock and tape company for many years. After Donnie retired from sheet rocking and taping he delivered flowers for Alders Wholesale Florist in Campbell Hall, NY.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Schoonmaker, daughter Aimee Masi and her husband Christopher, daughter Emily Schoonmaker and her fiance Marlon Cortez, sister Sandy Crews and her husband Pete, nieces, nephews, cousins and granddogs.

Along with his parents, Donald and Eva, he was predeceased by his brother, Joe Haight.

A Celebration of Donnie's Life will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, 2pm-4pm at Copperfields Kildare Pub, 93 Clinton Street, Montgomery, NY 12549. Please come as you are and have a beer and share some memories.

Cremation will take place privately.
