Edward C. Blaustein II

Edward C. Blaustein II, aka "Chris" born March 5th, 1958, passed away peacefully at home, May 20, 2025. 

Chris lived his life with a deep sense of compassion for nature and the towns people, always ready to lend a helping hand and brighten their lives with his antics.  

He was predeceased by his parents, (Ed) Edward Christian Blaustein and (Betty) Elizabeth Charlotte (May) Blaustein.

Chris had 3 children, Dennis, Katherine, and Audrey Krystal who blessed him with 12 beautiful grandchildren, who will miss him dearly, his two sisters, Cathy Fazio and Carol Scofield (George), half-brother Martin Blaustein, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and devoted life friend Shea Simms. 

He was also predeceased by his loving partner of many years Katherina (Kat).

He was a graduate of Wallkill Sr. High School. Chris was a hard worker his whole life, and a jack of all trades. He worked at Blue Chip Farms during high school, and from there dedicated his working years to tending the family cow farm & 360 day a year family business, Independent Refuse Service.

In his spare time he enjoyed watching his favorite shows with his beloved cats (Moe & Fatboy), hunting, fishing, and canoeing.

Chris requested a private service. In Chris's memory contributions can be made to Iron Horse Sanctuary 2155 NY-17A, Goshen, NY 10924 to support the resident animals.
