Eileen Stannard

Eileen Stannard of Montgomery, NY, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Montgomery. She was 92.

The daughter of the late Catherine (Dahl) and James Tierney, she was born October 5, 1931, in New York City.

She was the widow of Walter “Chuck” Stannard.

Survivors include her daughters Karin Jones Howe and her husband Greg of Montgomery NY and Betty Jean Sturtevant of Fishers, IN, grandchildren Eileen Long (Rich), Shawn Howe (Rachel), Denise Straley (Steve), Allison Sturtevant (Ammon), Darby Sturtevant (Sam), Lauren Sturtevant (Justine); 15 Great Grandchildren; Sister Margaret Davis; and brother Joe Tierney.

Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her stepmother Betty Tierney, brothers Jimmy Tierney and Raymon Tierney, sisters Theresa Mulderrig, Albert Lasway and Dorothy Tierney, and son-in-law Wayne Sturtevant

A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday August 3, 2024 at 11am Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Eileen’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
