Gary D. Schmick

Gary D. Schmick of Narrowsburg, NY passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, in Narrowsburg.  He was 70.

The son of the late Daniel Schmick and Janet Farrar Schmick, he was born October 8, 1952, in Warwick.

Gary served in the United States Navy and was a member of The American Legion, Eldred. He loved auto racing and enjoyed building model airplanes. Gary drove tractor trailers for many years before retirement and would tell anyone " I have more miles backing up than you have going forward".

Survivors include his wife Maria Schmick, sons Justin Schmick, Daniel Schmick, and Adam Schmick, sister Nancy Brotherton & husband John Brotherton, nieces Stephanie and Kari, nephews Patrick and Christopher, and beloved dogs Arthur and Walter.

Along with his parents he was predeceased by his sister Kathy Winters.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 29, 2023, 10am-12pm, at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY 12586.

A service will take place at 12pm at the funeral home.

Cremation will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan.
