Griffin Shane Masterson

Griffin Masterson of Montgomery, NY, a lifetime resident of the area passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 12, 2020, at home in Montgomery.  He was 19.

The son of Patrick J. Masterson and Karen Elsasser Masterson, he was born July 10, 2001 in Poughkeepsie.

Griffin was a quiet kid, with a kind and loving heart, He loved animals and animals loved him. He also had a great sense of humor and loved playing video games.

Survivors include his parents at home, Brothers, Garrett and Gavin at home, Grandmother, Susan Elsasser of Montgomery, Aunts: Stephanie Ludlow and Tricia Masterson of Montgomery, Valerie Masterson of Wallkill and Mary P. Masterson of Florida, Uncle, John Masterson of Newburgh, Cousins: Hugh and Cassie Masterson of Rosendale, Ashlynne Demshick of Montgomery, Cara Masterson of Wallkill, Ryan Masterson of Montgomery, Sean Masterson of Wallkill and William Pillius of Montgomery.

His loving animals: Rex, Daisy, Simba, Smokey, Rose and S’more.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Richard Elsasser, Grandparents, Hugh and Mary R. Masterson and his uncle Hugh S. Masterson.

Visitation will be 4-7 Pm on Tuesday December 15, 2020 at the Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY.

Funeral service will follow at 7 Pm in the funeral home.
