James E. Arndt of New Windsor, NY, passed away Monday January 20, 2025. He was 58.
The son of the late Frederick and Ruth (Drew) Arndt, he was born April 4, 1966 in Suffern, NY.
Jimmy was the founder of WXAX Radio, where he brought in local bands to spotlight. He was an avid New York Jets and New York Yankees Fan and enjoyed watching wrestling. Jimmy was an amazing cook, preparing meals for many to enjoy. He loved spending time with his dogs.
He was a retired dispatcher for the Village of Monroe Police Department, and more recently worked at Manheim Auto Auction, Newburgh, NY.
He is survived by his wife Cindy Arndt, sister Kathy O’Brien, sister Carol Lutz, brother Richard Arndt & his wife Joann, beloved dogs Diesel and Olivia, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his dogs Angel and Oliver.
A Celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at New Windsor Fire Department, 275 Walsh Ave., New Windsor, NY 12553. Beginning at 3pm, friends and family are invited to come mingle and share stories and memories of Jimmy. Please dress “Jimmy Style”.
The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Middletown Humane Society, Hudson Valley SPCA, or the New Windsor Volunteer Ambulance.
