James H. Brooks Jr.

James “Jim” “JB” H. Brooks Jr. of Walden, NY, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, in Newburgh. He was 58.

The son of James H. Brooks and Sharon Salinas Brooks, he was born June 11, 1963 in Royal Oak, MI.

Jim worked as a truck driver for CCX, Maybrook, NY. He was a licensed and ordained minister and known as a Gospel Evangelist.

Survivors include his wife Patricia E. Brooks at home, daughter Ashley Brooks, daughter Lillian Brooks, son Joshua Brooks, daughter Kathryn Brooks, son Caleb Brooks, daughter Amelia Brooks, sister Kathleen Brooks of Leesburg, FL, sister Susan Brooks Sanchez & her husband Lawrence of Feeding Hills, MA and numerous extended family members.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 15, 2022, 10am-11am at Goodwill Church, 2135 Route 208, Montgomery, NY 12549.

A service will follow at the church. 

Cremation will take place privately.
