James "Jimmy" Michael Dunn Jr.

James “Jimmy” Michael Dunn Jr, of Walden, NY, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025. He was 60.

The son of James M. Dunn Sr. and Theresa McLaughlin, he was born August 18, 1964, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh, NY.

Jimmy grew up in Walden, where he became a lifelong resident known as JD. He worked for Amazon, Rock Tavern, NY.

He loved to be the life of the party and drink his favorites like Wild Turkey, Jim Beam Vanilla and beer. Jimmy loved to listen to his music- Frank Lappa, Ozzy Osbourne, and rock and roll. It was the simple things in life he enjoyed.

He was in the Sons of AMVETS and a social member of the Walden VFW.

Jimmy is survived by his loving partner Sugar Alsdorf Dunn, his children Kerry Duelk Dunn and Damien, Jessica M. Dunn, Brooke Dunn, Jade Dunn and Cameron Dunn; his grandchildren Kenny, Elijah, Aniya, Marquise, Jaleza, Noah, Nori and Jalen, his mother Theresa McLaughlin, his brothers Leroy Steinhilber, Tommy Dunn and more siblings from his father’s side.

He was predeceased by his father James M. Dunn Sr. and his grandmother Julia McLaughlin.

Visitation will take place Friday, February 7, 2025, 5pm-7pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586. Stories and memories of Jimmy will immediately follow.

Cremation will take place privately.
