Jayne Louise Hopper

Jayne Louise Hopper of Middletown, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in Middletown.  She was 98.

The daughter of the late Oscar and Louise Murphy, she was born October 20,1922 in Manhattan, NY.

She was a social worker for Orange County DSS until her retirement. She attended Mt. Carmel in Middletown and was a member of the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA). She was also a longtime resident of the Great Sacandaga Lake in upstate New York.

Survivors include her daughter Darlene Bowser of Middletown, NY, son Earl R. Hopper and his wife Nora of Newburgh, NY; grandchildren Doreen Bowser and her partner James Austin of Berne NY, Christine Gaupman and her husband Richard of Middletown NY, Earl R. Hopper Jr and his wife Ashley of Newburgh, NY and Joseph M. Hopper of Newburgh, NY.

She was predeceased by her brother Oscar F. Murphy and son-in-law Joseph Bowser

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 16, 2021, 10:00 AM at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY.
