John R. Pergolizzi

John R. Pergolizzi of Montgomery, NY, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, in Middletown.

The son of the late Joseph and Jeanette Pergolizzi, he was born February 18,1928 in Brooklyn, NY.  

John retired as Sergeant from the New York State Police and started the Hudson Valley Tent Co.  He served in the US Army. 

John was the Renaissance man – he had many interests and a curious nature.  He loved his friends and family, sports, music, history, food, wine, good stories and good company. 

Survivors include his wife Mary; daughter Darcie and Richard Perez; daughter Valerie Pergolizzi; son John P. and Felicia Pergolizzi; daughter Julia Pergolizzi and his grandchildren Reanna and Joseph.

He is also survived by his brother Joseph Perk, nieces and nephews Barbara Scarpa, Patty Pedota, Bill Perk and Joseph Perk and his mother-in-law, Lucrezia D’Orazio.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2022, 2-4pm and 7-9pm, at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

At the request of the family we kindly ask that masks are to be worn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, May 27, 2022, 10am at St. Paul’s Church, 2800 Route 17K, Bullville, NY.

Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
