John (Jack) Butler Obituary

John (Jack) Joseph Butler of Pine Bush, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, May 29, 2020, in Pine Bush. He was 89.

The son of the late Charles A. and Mary Rempe Butler, he was born September 25, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY.

John served in the Air Force as an aircraft electrician on the B-36 Peacemaker during the Korean War, having attained the rank of Airman First Class. Following his military duty he had a long career as a salesman, starting his own company, Versatile Systems Inc. After he retired he and his wife Fran moved in with their daughter and son-in-law and helped raise their nine grandchildren.

Mourning his passing include his wife of 55 years Frances, daughter Lynn Grant and her husband Steve of Pine Bush, and daughter Donna Butler of Kingston, NY.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Michelle Lewis, Suzannah Grant, Rachael Grant, Levi Grant, Luke Grant, Olivia Grant, Jonathan Grant, Grace Grant and Rose Grant, as well as his great grandchild, Oliver.

He was predeceased by his parents and his three brothers William, Charles and Albert.

Cremation will take place privately.
