Joseph A. Kratzke of Pine Bush, NY, passed away Friday July 25, 2025 in Valhalla, NY after succumbing to injuries following a work related accident. He was 30 years old.
Joey was more than just a hardworking man. He was a devoted husband and a loving father to his children. He was the kind of dad who played in the yard even after a long shift. He never missed a horse show and the chance to support his wife and kids. He was always up to teaching his kids how an engine or piece of machinery worked and making their toy cars just that much faster. He was the rock of their family and always put their needs above all. Anyone who knew Joey knows that he showed up ready to help and with a joke or some sarcasm to lighten the mood. He was always the kind of person who showed up for others.
The son of Scott and Joany (Skipper) Kratzke, he was born March 10, 1995 in Rockville, CT.
Joey worked as a mechanic for Boyce Excavating, Slate Hill, NY.
He is survived by his wife Cassandra, daughter Addison, son Cameron, parents Scott & Joany Kratzke, brother Peter Kratzke, grandparents Carol & Mark Geltz, mother-in-law and father-in-law Wendy & Robert Stokes, brother-in-laws: Eric Stokes (Jessica), Todd Stokes (Amy), Nieces and Nephews: Ariella and Lane Stokes, and Eloise Stokes and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Joe & Alma Skipper and Allen Kratzke and his grandfather-in-law William (Pop) Malley.
